Gene Parsons invented the first StringBender, the Classic Parsons/White B-Bender, in 1967. Since then he has designed, manufactured and installed StringBenders for hundreds of satisfied musicians. Gene is well known as a multi-instrumentalist and performer. He is also a master machinist and technician with 45 years of experience designing, building and installing StringBenders and has more knowledge and experience in this field than anyone on the planet.
Gene Parsons' reputation for impeccable craftsmanship and complete customer satisfaction is legendary! He only makes time in his busy schedule for a limited number of StringBender installations each year. These Parsons/White StringBenders are built by Gene, installed by Gene, and guaranteed personally by Gene. Installations are made on a first come first serve, appointment-only basis. Gene installs custom-made StringBenders in all kinds of instruments from twelve-string Telecasters and Bajo sextos to banjos and mandolins.

Gene Parson and Lee Rider started building custom Telecaster type guitars in 2016 and formed StringBender guitars. Gene had always installed benders in other peoples' guitars but we decided that we could build great guitars ourselves! We have 2 different lines of StringBender guitars, our StringBender Pro and our Custom Shop guitars:

The StringBender Pro was developed after Fender discontinued its Nashville B Bender line of guitars a couple of years ago. Our StringBender pro features a lightweight roasted swamp ash body, roasted maple one-piece neck, a long stroke Parsons Green bender, hand wound Dawgtown pickups, Hipshot locking tuners, tongue oil finish and hard case.

The StringBender Custom Shop guitars feature different types of body and neck materials, nitrocellulose finish, Callaham bridge and parts, locking tuners, Parsons White StringBender and hard case. Just let us know what you want and we can build it!
